Lila Vase Community

Let’s gather together.

I create meaningful gatherings for people who want to make a difference. Through artistic and embodied methods, I design gatherings that make community tangible and inspiring.

My approach: holding space

In my community work, I create and hold spaces where people can come together in inspiring and empowering ways. In these temporary communities, new forms of togetherness can emerge: genuine encounters, honest exchange, and the sharing of meaningful experiences are at the heart of what we do. Through artistic, embodied, and participatory formats, community becomes tangible. For me, coming together – even beyond our usual circles – listening to each other, sharing our skills, and building meaningful networks is a vital part of fostering a sustainable society. I see commoning as a central practice: resources, skills, and responsibilities are shared, co-created, and cared for – rather than being claimed individually. In everyday life, this allows new forms of community to take shape.

Regular Community Happenings

Currently, the recurring formats of the Lila Vase community work are Comm_on and the Community Artists’ Dinner. Both offer accessible ways to gather, create together, (un)learn, and explore successful ways of relating and collaborating.

Workshops & Collaborations

In addition, I regularly offer individual workshops on various topics and participate in artistic collaborations. You can find an overview of all community events here.

The Art of gathering: Community Facilitation

I also design and facilitate special gatherings for groups. I draw on artistic methods, embodied approaches for getting to know each other, and restorative ways of handling conflicts. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to bring such an experience to your event, workplace, or community.

Comm_on

Our Vision
With Comm_on, we create a vibrant, low-threshold community in Stuttgart that shares skills and resources and organizes itself according to participants’ needs – practicing commoning in everyday life. The project is run in collaboration with architect Alessia Weckenmann.

Weekly
Every week, our Weekly takes place – a two-hour creative gathering hosted by community members. Whether it’s gardening, baking bread, somatic research, or book discussions, this is a space to bring your ideas, learn from one another, and create together. The time and location are determined by the member hosting that week.

Monthly
Once a month, we hold the Monthly: a space for exchange, reflection, and planning new Weeklies. Here, our community grows together as a commons-based structure.

Get Involved
We welcome everyone who wants to join a Weekly or Monthly – as a participant or a host. People from marginalized groups are especially encouraged to take part.

Join us and become part of Comm_on!

Community Artists’ Dinner

.

ChatGPT:

At the Community Artists’ Dinner, we come together for a shared vegan potluck buffet. Everyone brings something – a dish, an inspiration, a question – and we share what is meaningful to us in the moment.

Through collaboratively preparing the buffet and taking on temporary roles, we practice commoning in a practical way: sharing resources, distributing responsibility, and exploring new forms of togetherness.

The Community Artists’ Dinner is open to everyone who wants to connect, exchange, and explore community
